Because dating doesn't have to be painful

Tips 4 Christian Dating, Issue #004 -- Singleness Is A Blessing.

, Enjoy being single while you can because singleness is a blessing. Single people usually feel pressured by friends and family to get married as soon as they are old enough, as a result many singles feel almost cursed when the right man or woman hasn't yet shown up because they have to keep enduring the constant pressure from people asking them why they aren't yet married.

Your time as a single is when you will have the most freedom in your life, thats why I said singleness is a blessing. As a single you can go out when you want, do the dishes when you want, spend your money when you want, cook when you want etc.

Once you get married, you no longer have as much freedom, you have to consult your partner before you spend, cook for husband or wife, do the dishes on time so that it doesn't become an issue with your spouse, you have to make yourself accountable when you are going out, you can't just go out and come back when you feel like it because you have a spouse waiting at home for you, friends can't just come to your house as they please.

So you see that while marriage is a blessing, singlesness also has its perks so don't allow external pressure from people to stop you from maximising and enjoying your time as a single. It is a time where you can really devout yourself to your relationship and service to God because you don't yet have a partner you have to look after and it is also a time to clearly define your lifes purpose and goals so that you can choose a partner who is headed in the same direction as you in life in line with your purpose and goals.

Singleness is a blessing so enjoy the blessing of singleness.

I leave you with this scripture to emphasise my point...

"An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord's work and thinking how to please him. But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife. His interests are divided. In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband." - 1 Corinthians 7:32-34
