, Very often we Christians try to overspiritualise things. You will often hear people say that when it comes to love and relationships that looks shouldn't matter too much and that God will bring your spouse to you and it won't matter how you look because they will love you for who you are inside and not what you look like.

while this is true to a certain extent and I agree that true love isn't just about physical appearance, but at the same time you should never overlook the importance of looking good and keeping yourself attractive for yourself and the opposite sex.

We see people before we get to know people and usually people usually make up their mind about you from your appearance so it's important to make a good impression by presenting yourself well. Let's be honest, most relationships start off based on physical attraction, even Christian one's. It is after you become physically attracted to someone that you then begin to take the steps to know them on a more emotional and spiritual level, but it all starts with physical attraction and if that's the case then its important to keep yourself physically attractive.

You want the way you look to attract people not repel people. When God brings your life partner your way you want them to like what they see.

Even though Gods favour was on Esther, she still had to make herself attractive for the king before she became his choice as the queen (if you read the book of Esther in the bible you will discover this) she didn't take for granted that God was with her, she still made herself attractive for the king.

So as a single still searching for a life partner or even if you are in courtship with someone, make sure you don't let yourself go, keep yourself attractive and looking good, work out, wear clothes that complement you, do your hair and nails etc ladies and guys make sure you cut your hair and shave regularly. When you look good you feel good and when you feel good you are more confident and people are attracted to confident people.

Even as a Christian you need to take pride in your appearance and look good. Don't Let Yourself Go!
