Waiting and dating is an excellent book on Christian dating by Dr Myles Munroe, in fact I can go as far as saying that it is the Christian dating bible.

What I really liked about this book is it's dept, it covers so many issues that affect Christian singles. Issues like:

When should you date?

How to determine if you are ready to date?

How to find the right life partner and know if someone you are dating is "the one"?

Building close friendships

Dating an unbeliever

Engaged and preparing for marriage

Getting your finances in order as a single person

And so much more...

I also liked that it emphasizes the fact that it is okay to be single. People make you feel like there is something wrong with you when you are of dating age and still single, but this book on Christian dating explains why it is good to be single and the freedom and opportunities that come with singleness.

It encourages you to learn how to enjoy your own company and not be desperate for a relationship. It also introduces the concept that you need to maintain your singleness even after marriage! If that sounds confusing then you need to get the book to understand what that statement means.

What I also love about this fantastic Christian dating book is that it takes you back to the basics of making God and the kingdom of God your focus. Many Christian singles in their desperation for a partner begin to look elsewhere and in funny places just so that they can find someone to be with. They forget that God promises to add everything you need if you seek his kingdom first.

I definitely recommend this book if you want to get this dating thing right. Faith and I literally ate this book while we were dating, we read and re-read it just to absorb everything that is in it.
