A Rule For Christian Dating Relationships - Thou Shall Not Date More Than One Person At A Time

Some Christian singles sure are funny, I have come across Christian brothers who are having multiple Christian dating relationships with several Christians sisters and think that this is perfectly fine. Likewise I have seen Christian sisters having multiple relationships with different brothers.

Its funny because they are involved in these Christian relationships with multiple partners and are praying to God to reveal which one out of the several guys or girls they are dating is the one. I find that hilarious.

I can just imagine such a prayer, it would probably go something like this:

Dear God I'm so confused, which one of the 10 girls I’m dating is your will for me? Is it Jenifer or sally, Mary or Ruth, Kelly or Trisha, Lola or Rachel, Eve or Samantha. God please show me your will, lord please give me a sign.

I mean what a ridiculous prayer, do you think God will speak to you when you are messing around with the emotions of 10 of his daughters and leading all of them on knowing that you will eventually break the heart of at least 9 of them if not all 10. The same applies for a lady who has multiple Christian dating relationships with guys as well.

Wouldn't it make more sense to seek Gods face about a life partner before you even start dating, rather than getting yourself tied up in complicated love triangles.

Ask yourself the question whether it would be fair on all the different guys or girls that you would be deceiving because certainly they won't all know that they are being played. Put yourself on the receiving end and ask yourself how you would feel if you were to find out that the person you are dating cant decide between you and 9 others. Wouldn't You feel deceived and used.

It is not Godly and it is not appropriate to be involved in multiple Christian dating relationships because the whole process inevitably will involve lies and deceit to cover up your deeds so that the people you are playing don't find out about eachother, and also because of the hurt, humiliation, embarrassment, and heartbreak that will arise when you eventually break up with the others. Where is the love in that, we are supposed to love one another as Christians, we are supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves and not bring pain to one another.

So as a Christian dating rule, dating more than one person at a time is a definite no-no. Dating is not a game and neither are people's hearts and feelings. Lets learn to honor respect and value eachother. Let's learn to be Godly and moral in the way we relate to the opposite sex, Let's always remember to stick to our Christian fundamental beliefs and values even when it comes to dating.
