Christian Self Esteem Tips and Advice To Overcome Low and Poor Self Esteem

Christian self esteem comes from seeing yourself the way God see' you. Many Christians today are walking around with low self esteem because they don't see themselves the way God see' them, they don't see themselves from the perspective of what the word of God says about them.

As a Christian self esteem comes from knowing what the word of God says about you and believing it. The reason why many Christians are victims of low self esteem is because they don't know what the word of God says about them or they know what the word of God says about them but don't believe it. For example you tell yourself that you are ugly and unattractive and that nobody will ever want you or marry you but the word of God says in Psalms 139:14 that "you are wonderfully made"

Or

You look at your dreams and goals and the things that you want to achieve and you tell yourself "I can do it, I'm not skilled enough, I'm not qualified enough, I'm not gifted enough, I'm not smart and intelligent enough, I'm not strong enough" etc you come up with excuse after excuse about why you can't do it and why others are better and more capable than you when the words of God says in Philippians 4:13 that "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"

Your Christian self esteem should also come from identifying with the Lion even as Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The lion as we all know is the king of the Jungle, what's amazing is that all other animals fear the lion yet the lion is not the biggest animal, it's not the fastest, it's not the most intelligent, and it's not the strongest and yet the lion is the king. That cancels all your excuses for why you don't believe in yourself because the lesson we learn from the lion is that you don't have to be the strongest, the fastest, the most intelligent, the biggest, the most skilled or talented and yet you can still be the king.

What makes the lion the king is its attitude, it looks at an animal as big as the elephant and says to itself I can take you and I will eat you, the lion is not intimidated. The elephant on the other hand although bigger and more intelligent than the lion is gripped with fear when it see' the lion. The difference is attitude. Stop being intimidated by people who appear bigger, better, smarted, prettier and more accomplished than you, be like the lion and believe in yourself Your attitude will either make you the king or the victim

It's interesting that everyone God ever called and used in the bible had low self esteem and God had to replace their low self esteem with what I refer to as Christian self esteem by making them realise that when you have God on your side you can do, be and achieve anything because the bible says in Matthew 19:26 that "with God all things are possible"

Moses had low self esteem because he couldn't talk (see Exodus chapter 3), both Gideon and King Saul saw themselves as insignificant and as the least in their family and country (see Judges Chapter 6 and 1 Samuel chapter 9), but God never addresses us by our weaknesses, he addresses us by the ability he knows he has placed within us, even when we can't see it ourselves - but the moment you begin to align yourself with how God see' you that will be the end of low self esteem in your life and that is exactly where Christian self esteem comes from, it comes from aligning yourself with the way God see' you, not the way your friends see you or the way your teachers see you or the way your family see you or even the way you see you.

They might tell you that you're ugly but what does God say, they might tell you that you can't make it and that you're not capable but what does God say, they might tell you that you're not lovable and no one will ever want you and you'll be single and alone for the rest of your life but what does God say? - believe the word of God and not the words of men and you will never be a victim in life, rather you will be a victor.
