Should Miss Fed Up Start Dating A Non Christian Guy Since God Is Taking Too Long

Miss Fed Up is a Christian sister who is fed up of 'waiting on the lord'. She has now started contemplating dating a non Christian. Miss Fed Up really wants to get married but none of the brothers at church seem to be approaching her.

She has been a devoted Christian for several years serving in the Choir. She makes sure that she doesn't miss any church programme especially the singles conferences. She arrives on time and plays an active role in her department.

On the surface she looks okay, she looks like she has got it all together but deep down inside she is fed up. She has fasted, prayed, waited on the lord and even given special offerings all so that she can meet a man and get married but nothing seems to be happening, it seems like God hasn't seen all her labour in church or heard any of her prayers.

So Miss Fed up is now truly fed up and after 12 year of serving God and still no husband begins to think to herself that maybe dating a non Christian might be an option because it doesn't seem like she can have a Christian relationship since none of the brothers at church have shown any interest.

Here is my advice to Miss Fed Up. The bible teaches us not to be weary in well doing because we will reap in due season if we do not faint (Galatians 6:9.)

Delay is not denial, because God hasn't yet brought the brother doesn't mean it will never happen. God is not a man that he should lie, faithful is he that promised and he will surely fulfill his promise. Remember that it wasn't until several years after God promised Abraham that he would have a child that Sarah gave birth to Isaac, I think they waited about 25 years for the fulfillment of that promise.

Dating a non Christian is not the way to go because you do not share the same faith and standards and you will end up compromising your stand. When Christians date a non Christian they do it under the excuse that they want to get the person saved, this is known as missionary dating. It often doesn't work out that way because it is easy for them to pull you down than for you to pull then up.

I have seen it many times, A Christian brother starts dating a lady that is an unbeliever or a Christian sister starts dating a non Christian guy. After a while you stop seeing them in church, then you here that they were seen at a night club smoking and drinking. Few months later they are expecting their first Child outside of wedlock. They have slipped so far away from God that it is difficult to come back. All because they couldn't wait for God to give them a proper Christian relationship.

Miss Fed Up, Don't give up. Stay encouraged and God will do what he said he would do.
