Getting over a broken heart Gods way

Getting over a broken heart is really difficult, especially when someone you love and dreamt of spending the rest of your life with drops a bomb shell on you and tells you they are no longer interested in the relationship or being with you.

I too have been through the pain of a broken heart and like you I also broke down and cried because it was very painful and came as a real shock, up until I received the bombshell everything seemed to be fine and the relationship seemed to be going well.

I never thought I'd be able to get over it, I felt so hurt and rejected and kept wondering what I did wrong and if there was anything I could do to fix it.

Getting over a broken heart wasn't easy but God has not only helped me to deal with the heart break but he has also given me someone better, someone that loves and cherishes me, we are married today and have a beautiful daughter and our relationship is growing stronger by the day.

I shared by story with you because I want you to know that I too know the pain of a heart break, and I can also testify that God is able to mend your broken heart and give you joy for your mourning.

If you want to know how to mend a broken heart Gods way, then you need to turn to the bible - the word of God.

The bible says that weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)

God can turn your mourning into dancing, he can turn your sorrow into joy but you must do what the bible says and cast your cares upon him (Psalm 55:22 and Hebrews 4:15-16) when you do that, you will be amazed at how God is able to turn things around for you.

You will definitely feel the pain of the heart break for months, but God will give you the strength to handle it, and remember that every disappointment in life can be used by God to give you something better and take you to your promised land and this heartbreak you are feeling can be used by God to bring your true bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh into your life. The same God that did it for me, will do it for you, God will make all things to work together for your good (Romans 8:28) including this heartbreak, there will surely be a testimony at the end of it and you can quote me on that.

As you are getting over a broken heart, I must however say that don't get bitter about it, don't go around telling everybody how mean and wicked the person that broke your heart is just because they don't want to be with you anymore, that is not the Christian thing to do, we are supposed to bless those that curse us, do good to them that wrong us and pray for those that use and take advantage of us (Luke 6:28)

In some cases the person that broke your heart might later realise their mistake and want to come back (and they might not). Whatever the case even if your heartbreaker decides to come back and wants to work on the relationship later in the future, allow God to lead you concerning what to do, but even if this is the end of the relationship and there is no future for the two of you, then take it that God has something better and allow God to heal your broken heart.

Psalm 147:3 says that God heals the broken hearted, give your broken heart to God and he will heal you and make you smile again.

You will get through this, getting over a broken heart is possible, it is not the end of your life, there is still a future for you, God still has good things in store for you and when you come through this you will come out stronger on the other side. Had I not been through my own heartbreak I wouldn't be able to encourage you like this, but I have been there and I made it through with a testimony and so will you and just like I am encouraging you with my story, one day you will also be able to encourage someone with yours.
