"God told me...."

Break-ups are never easy, but guys, I would like to impart a very important piece of advice. Same goes for us women, too.

If you are expressing romantic interest in someone by spending alone time with them, it is dating unless both parties agree that there is no interest in the other.
And if you are dating someone, but realizes later on down the line that the relationship is not working out, please, please, PLEASE...tell the truth. Be honest.

The worst, worst, worst thing you could ever do is say "God told me we weren't supposed to date" after you have been dating that person. That indicates:
1. You are blaming and hiding behind God for the break up instead of owning up to your actions (blame)
2. If God said you weren't supposed to date that person then that meant you went against what God told you not to do (disobedience)
3. If you use this line as an excuse because you are interested in another person, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER! (deception)

I have been a victim of this. God is not the author of confusion. We must be accountable for our actions. We must be honest and straight up with our intentions, no matter how much it hurts the other person. In the long run, God will bless you for it.
