You Were Designed For Leadership

Every human being on the face of this planet is a born leader including you, and though there are many opinions on this and some people believe that certain types of people were destined to be leaders and occupy positions of leadership while others are destined to be followers. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The only truth as far as I am concerned is the word of God, the word of God is greater than the philosophies and opinions of men, the word of God is absolute truth and carries more authority and weight, and what the word of God says about every individual on this planet is that we are all born to be leaders.

In the book of Genesis chapter 1 when God created man, he stated the purpose for which he was creating that man, in verse 26 of Genesis chapter 1 God clearly states that the purpose for which he was creating mankind was so that mankind could have dominion over the earth "Let them have dominion" and that statement was Gods intention for all mankind, not just Adam, it applies to both the male and female.

That word dominion means rulership, mastery, and control. In essence what God was saying was that he was going to create mankind and give all of mankind the authority to exercise leadership over the territory called earth.

We are all born with that seed of dominion, that's why we all naturally want to be able to control and not be controlled, in fact we naturally resist it when someone tries to subjugate us and exercise ruler ship over us because we were created to be leaders, we were created to control and not be controlled, leadership is innate inside everyone of us.

But the leadership God gave mankind has boundaries, it was leadership over the earth and not leadership over people, God stated the boundaries of man's dominion and it was to be "over the fish of the sea, and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." Nowhere on that list is another human being and that is where Gods leadership philosophy differs from Man's.

Men try to exercise dominion and ruler ship over other men which is against Gods original order, Gods plan is that you would rule the earth and the elements in the earth not other men.

So when you take wool from an animal and turn it into fine clothes, that's leadership and dominion, you are dominating the elements of the earth and after a while you become an authority and specialist in that area and people will pay you and search for you and hire you to see you demonstrate and exercise your gift, or when you take your thoughts and knowledge on a subject and put them into a book or article and before long you are known as an expert in that subject and your books and articles are being read everywhere - that's leadership and dominion the way God intended and it can be achieved by everyone, as long as you have a talent, a gift, a skill, an ability, you can be a leader and have dominion.

The good news is that we are all born with something we can use to become a leader even if the only skill you have is talking. Joyce Meyer talks for a living, so does Joel Osteen, they are exercising their dominion in that area of speaking and have as such become authorities in that area and are considered leaders.

Your leadership potential is already in you, you were born to lead, do a self search, begin to look at your talents, your skills and abilities, focus on one and commit yourself to becoming an expert at that one and within 10 years if you remain consistent, I guarantee you that you would have become an expert and authority at that thing and will be recognised as a leader in your field.
