How and Why You Should Maximise Your Potential

As a child of God you were born full of potential and you need to maximise your potential. You are more gifted than you can imagine and God has deposited so much wealth inside of you, but at the moment that wealth in its raw form.

The wealth inside you can be likened to gold in its raw state, although destined to be something that can be turned into jewellery that can add beauty to the appearance of a person, before it can fulfil that potential it needs to go through process, it needs to go through the fire so that the beauty inside it can be revealed.

To maximise your potential you will also need to go through a process, the process of studying, practicing, training etc and you will also need to go through the fire, the fire of obstacles and setbacks, the fire of disappointments and challenges, but all these are necessary so that the beauty in you can come out.

Remember the story of Joseph in the bible, Joseph had the potential to rule a country and God revealed his destiny to him in a dream, but in order for Joseph to maximise his potential he had to be betrayed, he had to be lied on, he had to go through prison, he had to sharpen his gift of interpreting dreams so that when the time came for him to rule, his was ready. Joseph went through the process and you must too if you want to maximise your potential.

You see you are full of potential and potential simply means unreleased ability or untapped power. Potential is what you can do that you haven't yet done.

We all have potential, but what causes people to shine in life is when they decide to maximise their potential and not take their potential to the grave. Many have taken their potential to the grave, they took their books to the grave because they never wrote it, they took their businesses to the grave, their inventions, their knowledge, their skills etc because they never worked on it to birth it, they didn't want to go through the process of maximising their potential so that they could eventually shine, they made excuses and allowed fear to hold them back.

That doesn't have to be your story, you can maximise your potential by making the decision to die empty, to go to the grave knowing that you released to the world everything you came into the world with, that you didn't return to the grave with the gifts you were supposed to bless the world with.

Every somebody was once a nobody who decided to go through the process and fire of maximising and releasing their potential. The truth of the matter is that nobody really know what you are capable of, not even you. Where you are now is not where you are destined to be, what you are now is not all that you are destined to be, there is a better tomorrow for you.

The Sheppard boy of today can be the king of tomorrow, but there are some lions and bears and Goliaths to overcome, that's the kind of promotion that comes when you decide to go through the process to maximise your potential, you can either die a Sheppard or face the lion, the bear and Goliath and become the king, its up to you.
